What you can rely on, and what you should check
Trust should rest on facts you can verify, not on assurances. This page sets out who we are, who delivers your trip, what we check, and what we have not checked.
Who you are dealing with
Cambodia Path is a small, new trip-planning service run from Europe, reachable at hello@cambodiapath.com. It is not a Cambodian tour operator, has no office in Cambodia and does not employ guides or drivers. We publish no reviews or testimonials yet because we have none to publish; we will not invent them.
Who delivers your trip
Independent providers deliver every part of the trip. Your proposal names each one and says what they are responsible for. The providers on this site describe themselves publicly, and you can check them yourself:
- Elephant Valley ProjectElephant sanctuary near Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri, operating since 2006 (per its website)
- JahooGibbon and wildlife tours in Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, a product of Sam Veasna Conservation Stays Co., Ltd., with WCS and the Keo Seima REDD+ project listed as partners
- Chi Phat Community-Based EcotourismVillage-run ecotourism project in the Cardamom Mountains, Koh Kong province, linked to Wildlife Alliance
- Cardamom Tented CampSafari-tent eco-lodge in Botum Sakor National Park, Koh Kong province, which describes working with Wildlife Alliance rangers
Facts read on providers’ websites Mentioning a provider on this site describes it; it is not an endorsement or a partnership. Provider facts were last read on 11 October 2026.
What we check before proposing a provider
- Their own current published information: operating days, prices, inclusions, age and fitness rules, and payment and cancellation terms.
- For wildlife experiences, that their published rules match our standard: no riding, no bathing with visitors, no feeding for show.
- Availability and price for your dates, by contacting them, before a proposal calls anything confirmed.
- That the place is outside official travel-advice warning zones on the date we propose it.
What we have not checked
- We have not inspected the providers in person. Our descriptions rely on what they publish and on independent sources, which each page lists.
- We do not verify providers’ insurance or licences for you. Ask any provider directly, and carry your own travel insurance with medical evacuation.
- We cannot guarantee wildlife sightings, weather, road conditions or a provider’s performance on the day.
Payments
At present, you book and pay each provider directly, using the details in your proposal. Several providers require payment well in advance and apply their own cancellation terms (for example, the Elephant Valley Project publishes that payment is due a week ahead and is non-refundable within seven days). Your proposal shows these terms before you pay anything. We do not currently take payments ourselves.
If something changes or goes wrong
Before you travel, we help you adjust the plan by email. During the trip, your first contact is the provider delivering that part, whose contact details are in your proposal; we answer email in working hours and can help you think through options, but we do not run a 24-hour emergency service. For emergencies, contact local emergency services, your insurer and your embassy.
How our information stays honest
Every content page lists its sources and the date the time-sensitive facts were checked. Distances are measured from map data. Itineraries are labelled as researched examples, not trips we have run. If you spot something out of date, please tell us.
