Privacy notice

Effective 11 October 2026

This notice explains how Cambodia Path (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use cambodiapath.com or send us a trip request. If you have questions, email hello@cambodiapath.com.

What we collect

  • Trip requests: your name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, travel dates, number of travelers and children’s ages, where you arrive, whether you ride motorbikes, comfort and budget preferences, places and interests, any note about walking or road-day limits, and your message.
  • Technical data: when you submit the form, our hosting provider processes your IP address to prevent abuse (rate limiting and, if enabled, bot protection). We store the page you came from and a coarse country code, not your IP address.

Please do not send passport scans, payment card numbers or medical information through the form or by email.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and plan your trip at your request.
  • To keep records we are required to keep, where the law requires it.
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse (legitimate interests).

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not add you to a newsletter.

Who we share it with

  • Providers in Cambodia (for example a sanctuary, wildlife project or driver), only the details they need to check availability for your dates, and only after you have asked us to plan that part of the trip.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the website and processes the form, stores trip requests, provides bot protection and forwards email, on our behalf.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, and providers in your trip are in Cambodia. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or on the transfer being necessary to plan the trip you asked for.

How long we keep it

Trip requests are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you and then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep records longer.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, it measures page views without cookies and without identifying you. The bot protection on our form (Cloudflare Turnstile), when enabled, may process technical information about your browser to tell people from bots.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, to receive a copy of it and to complain to a data protection authority. To use these rights, email hello@cambodiapath.com. We will reply within one month.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the person who plans your trip. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes

We will update this notice if the way we handle personal data changes, and show the date the current version took effect at the top of the page.
